The international airport is located 25 km away from the coast. It is a 30-minutes drive to any of the marinas on the highway.

The climate in Split is Mediterranean with warm, dry summers and mild winters. Weather conditions in Split make it an ideal place for yachting, water sports and family vacation as well. Pine forests protect the area from winds and excessive heat. There are 2,600 sunny hours per year in Split which made it famous as one of the best resorts in Croatia.
The yachting season starts in April and lasts until October or November. Summers are long, warm, mostly dry, but not too hot. The warmest month is July with an average temperature of + 23 °C. The water temperature ranges from + 13 °C in February to + 26 °C in August.
Even during the high season, the winds are changeable and difficult to assess. They can arise both from the south and from the northeast. There are many thunderstorms in July and August.

Upon arrival at the marina, you are usually given the forecast for the next day. Port services regularly receive forecasts, this is the most reliable source of information. You can also find out the forecast and storm warnings through communication channels. They sound in Croatian and English, and during the season also in Italian on channel 73 at 05.45, 12.45, and 19.45.
