The Mandraki of Rhodes is one of the most beautiful harbors in the world. Today the Aegean Sea was was layered with 4 different shades of blue green with choppy white capped waves and a pronounced ocean breeze. The sunshine was beaming and the temperature was perfect. The architecture of the buildings is Italianate with a large dose of Ottoman. Both cultures once occupied the island during different time periods. If you have a chance to view them inside, do step in. If nothing else, simply stroll along the seaside sidewalk and take in the views.
Great port to visit right next to the old town and where you can see the cruise ships at anchor. Full of wonderful fish as well so well worth a visit.
At the heart of the 'Old Town' . Great views of the scale of the fortified town. Plenty to see and do. Numerous boat trips available. Enjoy.
Port of Rhodes in front of downtown. Nice. For supplies there are two minimarkets at the entrance of the port. I strongly suggest the one closer to the windmills: good stuff, nice and helpful people, very good wine choices. The other one is.... Managed by people annoying and chasing you on the banks... Unpleasant people
A very nice and cozy place, lots to drink and eat nearby like a Starbucks. Beautiful view
