Rogoznica is situated in the northern part of Croatian Dalmatia, 30 km from Šibenik. Part of the city is located on the peninsula (Kopara). It was connected with the mainland (Kopacha) only in the 19th century.
Rogoznica is a quiet town. At first, it was a simple fishing village with unique flora and fauna. Now it is a great resort with a safe bay and a convenient Frapa marina.
Rogoznica has many quiet pebble beaches and cozy coves (near the Razanj resort). You can swim on the island of Lukvenjak.
You can try your hand at water sports such as yachting, windsurfing, diving, and spearfishing. An unusual entertainment will be a visit to the underwater botanical garden.
In the center of Rogoznica there are statues of St. Nicholas and St. John Trogir. They are made in a typical medieval Croatian style. The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary is visible from afar. It was built in the 17th century.
The city hosts various fairs and festivals. Residents of Rogoznica organize a boat procession on the Day of the Mother of God Kapelic. This is the main religious holiday. On Fisherman's Night, the inhabitants of the Dalmatian islands dance to live music and treat them to fish and wine, olive oil, and bread. On the Rogoznica Fiesta (first Saturday in August), an open-air concert is organized. Children will love their yacht charter if they come to the Sibenik International Children's Festival.
Of the national dishes, tourists prefer black rice and fish stew. These treats are inexpensive and served in all local restaurants. Children will love the Slave Cake and Honey Gingerbread.
Marina Frapa itself is an artificial island in the Soline Bay, built in the 90s of the last century. The high level of ecology in the marina is evidenced by the awarded certificates of the international program «Blue Flag» and «New Millenium Award», which was issued by the authoritative organization GLOBAL TRADE LEADERS´ CLUB. She was awarded the honorary title of the best marina in Croatia three times. Marina Frapa has many amenities for yachtsmen and their crew: restaurants, a tavern, a café, a repair shop, yacht shops, a laundry service, and a guarded parking lot. A modern sports center (swimming pool, tennis, squash, table tennis, fitness, sauna) has been built at the pier.
Several yacht charter companies are based in Frapa Marina. However, to visit Rogoznica on a weeklong trip, a yacht can be rented in many marinas from Split to Zadar.

The resort is located in the Mediterranean climatic zone, which affects greatly the weather conditions in Rogoznica at any time of the year. Usually the tourist season begins when the water in the sea warms up enough to be able to swim.
