  • There are anchorages outside the Martins Bay cliffs and inside the Lagoon. North Bay, Carenage, is designed for commercial ships only
  • There is not much space for anchorages in the Lagoon, especially in the high season
  • Beware of large yellow buoys intended for Med-Moor yachts when entering the Lagoon at Port Louis: navigation is difficult close to them
  • Anchoring in Grand Anse Bay to the south of 12 '02.05' north latitude is prohibited. As it is to the north of St. George’s harbour entrance.
